On Tuesday, March 29th, USCIS announced that they have received enough registrations to reach the H-1B cap (including the master’s cap). Prospective petitioners that have been selected through the lottery process should have received a notice from USCIS stating their eligibility to file an H-1B cap-subject petition for the beneficiary named in their selected registration. Registrants should login to their online accounts to check the status for each beneficiary registered. A status of “Selected” means that your registration has been selected and you are eligible to file your H-1B
FY 2023 H-1B Cap Petitions May Be Filed Starting April 1
H-1B cap-subject petitions for FY 2023, including those petitions eligible for the advanced degree exemption, may be filed with USCIS beginning April 1, 2022 (if based on a valid selected registration). For more information, visit the USCIS H-1B Electronic Registration Process page.
