USCIS Extends and Redesignates Ethiopia for TPS and SSR

Secretary Mayorkas Announced the Extension and Redesignation of Ethiopia TPS.  USCIS Published in the Federal Register  the extension and redesignation of Ethiopia for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) that begins on June 13, 2024, and will remain in effect for 18 months through December 12, 2025. Also DHS also announced Special Student Relief for certain Ethiopian F–1 nonimmigrant students who are experiencing severe economic hardship. This special student relief (SSR) is also effective June 13, 2024, and ends on December 12, 2025.
